Julia is a freelance illustrator based in Berlin and creates artworks for editorial and advertising clients and cultural institutions. Her latest clients involve The New York Times, Die Zeit Newspaper, Vogue Japan and Air BnB.
Her illustration style is colorful, planar, and modular. She combines digital elements with textures, influenced by analog printing techniques, to get content-related and visually exciting contrasts. By playing with the familiarity of these analog textures and their haptics, she introduces a distinct liveliness into her digitally drawn images.
